We humans are always changing, and the world with us. Studying living organisms is to say, at the least, challenging. Many animals (especially bugs and insects) are very small, and hard to characterize from a distance. You need something that can capture their appearance and growth without disturbing their natural habitat. Macro photography can do that. Plus, with so many species around the world, scientists need to be able to communicate. Our scientists are always discovering new species and new concepts about the world, and we need to communicate. These up close pictures can help in the studies of life sciences and entomology, the study of bugs.
